Rishabh Pant breaks multiple Indian records during Colombo Test innings
Rishabh Pant broke multiple Indian records during his 63-run innings in the Colombo Test.
Rishabh Pant overtook Adam Gilchrist to become the third-highest six-hitter in Test cricket during his 63-run innings in Colombo. He also surpassed MS Dhoni's record for the highest runs by an Indian wicketkeeper in away Tests.
Pant achieved the milestones despite retiring hurt on day one after being struck on the wrist. He resumed his innings on day two and contributed to a century stand with Dhruv Jurel.
The 28-year-old now leads India's World Test Championship run-scoring charts.

Pant’s record-breaking spree in a single series makes it harder to justify keeping him out of the Test XI on grounds of inconsistency.
