Raphy Weatherall extends Northamptonshire contract to 2028
Northamptonshire paceman Raphy Weatherall commits to the county until 2028.
Northamptonshire fast bowler Raphy Weatherall has signed a contract extension that keeps him at the county until at least the end of the 2028 season. The 21-year-old made the agreement official this week.
Weatherall has played 29 matches across formats in the past three seasons and taken 41 wickets. His availability has been limited by injuries, but he returned for the One-Day Cup this summer and claimed 4 for 56 against Warwickshire.
The new deal extends the three-year contract Weatherall signed in 2024. Head coach Darren Lehmann described him as an exciting talent with a high ceiling and said the club would continue to manage his fitness.

Weatherall's extension shows counties are prepared to invest in young bowlers despite injury histories when they show first-class potential.
