Yuvraj Singh appointed Delhi Capitals assistant and batting coach
Yuvraj joins Ganguly's coaching staff after playing one season for Delhi in 2015; he previously mentored Punjab players including Abhishek Sharma.
Delhi Capitals have named Yuvraj Singh as assistant and batting coach for the 2027 IPL season. The move follows Sourav Ganguly’s appointment as head coach earlier this month. It will be Yuvraj’s first formal coaching job with any IPL side.
He had earlier played for Delhi in 2015, bought for ₹16 crore at the auction, the highest price paid for any player at that stage. In 13 innings he made 248 runs at an average of 19.07. Across 132 IPL matches Yuvraj finished with 2,750 runs at an average of 24.77 and a strike rate of 129.71.
The franchise posted the news on social media and recalled his six sixes in an over against Stuart Broad at the 2007 T20 World Cup. Yuvraj has already guided several Punjab players, among them Abhishek Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh.

Yuvraj's return to Delhi as a coach closes a circle that began with his record-breaking auction purchase in 2015, though his brief playing stint with the franchise yielded modest returns.
