West Indies add Shamar Springer to Bangladesh Test squad
Shamar Springer replaces Keemo Paul in the West Indies squad for the two-Test series against Bangladesh that starts on October 28.
Cricket West Indies have named Shamar Springer for the two-Test series against Bangladesh. The 28-year-old steps in for Keemo Paul, who left the tour for personal reasons. Springer has three ODIs and 12 T20Is to his name but is still waiting on his Test debut.
The first match starts October 28 at Mirpur. Shai Hope was rested and Alzarri Joseph withdrawn for workload reasons, so Paul had been added as cover. Now he has gone, Springer takes the spot.
Updated squad: Roston Chase (c), Jomel Warrican (vc), Joshua Bishop, John Campbell, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Joshua Da Silva (wk), Justin Greaves, Kavem Hodge, Amir Jangoo (wk), Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Kemar Roach, Jayden Seales, Shamar Springer, Kevin Wickham.

Paul’s exit leaves the attack thinner, so Springer’s inclusion isn’t just about balance — it’s about who West Indies can trust to bowl long spells in Bangladesh’s slow conditions.
