Misbah-ul-Haq resigns as Pakistan selector after squad drama
Misbah-ul-Haq resigned from the PCB selection committee after mid-series squad changes on the England tour.
Misbah-ul-Haq has offered to resign from Pakistan's national selection committee following the PCB's sweeping changes to the Test set-up during the ongoing England tour. The PCB has not yet accepted the resignation.
Misbah also decided to leave his position as batting consultant at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. The departures follow Pakistan's heavy loss to England at Lord's, after which the board sacked seven players and two coaches.
The PCB has launched a separate high-level investigation into Imam-ul-Haq's injury after releasing the batter from the tour.

The combination of Misbah's exit and the mid-series overhaul signals a deeper reset within Pakistan's selection process that could extend beyond the current tour.
