Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad completed a four-player trade ahead of the IPL 2027 auction. Liam Livingstone and Jack Edwards joined CSK, while Khaleel Ahmed and Nathan Ellis moved to SRH. Livingstone's trade value was reduced to six crore rupees from his previous 13 crore.

Edwards retained his three crore rupee fee. SRH acquired Khaleel Ahmed for 4.8 crore rupees and Ellis for two crore rupees. Kris Srikkanth said SRH were the winners of the trade.

The deal gives SRH two frontline overseas bowlers at modest fees while CSK adds batting depth. Both franchises must finalise retentions before the auction deadline.

Srikkanth's verdict highlights how SRH's targeted overseas bowling acquisitions at lower fees may reshape their death-over options more effectively than CSK's middle-order reinforcements.
