Aakash Chopra and Parthiv Patel auction all-time ODI teams

Aakash Chopra and Parthiv Patel built all-time ODI teams in a mock auction where Jacques Kallis went unsold.

Aakash Chopra and Parthiv Patel ran a mock auction for all-time ODI teams. Each got five slots and a ₹20 budget.

Parthiv opened the bidding on Sachin Tendulkar and paid ₹7. He later landed Ricky Ponting for ₹5 after Chopra started the bidding at ₹2. Chopra's first pick was Kumar Sangakkara for ₹3, then he added MS Dhoni for ₹4.

Jacques Kallis never found a buyer. Both former players passed on the South African all-rounder.

CricHubb Take

The mock auction quietly exposes how hard it is to value all-rounders when budgets force a choice between a finisher and a sixth bowler.
