New Zealand will be without Mark Chapman and Zak Foulkes for the five-match T20I series against India that starts in Christchurch on 22 October. Chapman is recovering from a left hamstring tear sustained during the European T20 League, while Foulkes suffered a right hip flexor injury during a Canterbury training session.
All-rounder Josh Clarkson and fast bowler Blair Tickner have been added to the squad. Head coach Rob Walter said he was disappointed to lose both players and wished them a smooth recovery. Chapman, who has 113 T20I appearances, is expected to be fit for the following ODI series. Foulkes has no confirmed return date.
The series concludes in Hamilton on 1 November.
