Kathryn Bryce named Scotland captain for 10-team UAE event
Kathryn Bryce takes over as Scotland captain for the upcoming 10-team tournament in the UAE, with Isabella Watson the only uncapped player in the squad.
Kathryn Bryce was appointed captain of the Scotland squad for a 10-team tournament in the UAE. The 28-year-old all-rounder will lead a group that includes her sister Sarah Bryce, Darcey Carter and Katherine Fraser. Isabella Watson, an 18-year-old uncapped player, was also named in the squad.
Gabriella Fontenla and Pippa Sproul complete the squad. Both players represented Scotland at the 2025 ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup. The tournament will be played in the United Arab Emirates, though dates have not been confirmed.
Bryce replaces an unspecified predecessor and will combine leadership duties with her role as a frontline all-rounder for the side.

The appointment gives Scotland a stable leader ahead of a crowded calendar, allowing Bryce to shape selection and tactics without a mid-tournament change.
