Khulna move top of NCL after Rajshahi’s Nayeem double-century

Khulna lead the NCL table. Nayeem’s unbeaten double-century kept Rajshahi in contention for a playoff spot.

Khulna Titans took first place in the National Cricket League after the second round of matches. Nayeem Hasan scored an unbeaten double-century to lift Rajshahi to a competitive total.

Defending champions Rangpur suffered another defeat, losing to Sylhet by 37 runs. Sylhet’s bowlers restricted Rangpur’s chase after posting a defendable score on a slow surface.

The NCL continues with matches scheduled through the end of the month. Khulna’s position at the top is their first since the 2023-24 season.

CricHubb Take

Rangpur’s early struggles suggest the absence of several national players has widened the gap between the top and bottom of the NCL table.
