Ben Stokes signed with Adelaide Strikers for the 2026-27 Big Bash League season. The former England all-rounder will open the batting for the team that begins its campaign in December.

Stokes retired from international cricket in June and has agreed to one of the most lucrative overseas deals in BBL history. Adelaide Oval’s reputation as a batting-friendly venue influenced his decision.

The 35-year-old is expected to feature in all matches of the tournament. Strikers will rely on his experience in the middle order and death bowling.
