Salman Agha scored 107 off 90 balls to anchor Pakistan's 305 for 9 in the opening match of the ODI tri-series against Sri Lanka at Rawalpindi on October 18, 2026. Pakistan won by 37 runs after Sri Lanka were bowled out for 268 in 48.1 overs.

Agha struck 10 boundaries and one six on his return to international cricket. Sri Lanka's chase was led by half-centuries from Rathnayake and Liyanage, but the middle order collapsed against Pakistan's pace attack of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf.

The match marked the first ODI of the tri-series that also features England. Pakistan captain Shaheen Afridi won the toss and chose to bat first on a surface that offered assistance to the seamers throughout the day.

Agha's return to form at the top of the order gives Pakistan a settled middle-order presence ahead of the tri-series matches against England, where the batting depth will be tested further.
