Bangladesh seamer Khaled Ahmed has signed a four-match red-ball contract with Kent. The 33-year-old will link up with fellow Bangladesh international Hasan Mahmud for the remainder of the County Championship season.

Kent announced the signing on Friday. The county is aiming to secure promotion from Division 2. Ahmed will join the squad immediately and is expected to feature in the remaining fixtures of the current campaign.

The move gives Ahmed valuable experience on English pitches ahead of Bangladesh's upcoming international commitments.

CricHubb Take

Kent's recruitment strategy prioritises short-term impact over long-term squad building. Adding a 33-year-old seamer for four matches suggests the county values immediate swing and seam movement over developing younger bowlers for future seasons.
