Mohammad Kaif criticised India's bowling attack after the team lost the fourth T20I to West Indies by 24 runs in Hyderabad. He said the current combination would not be enough to defend the T20 World Cup title in two years. Kaif argued that India needed five specialist bowlers rather than relying on batting depth.

India conceded 247 for three after the pacers leaked 104 runs in eight overs. Mayank Yadav and Arshdeep Singh were the most expensive, while Axar Patel conceded 45 runs in four overs. Kaif also questioned the decision to leave out Kuldeep Yadav on a flat Hyderabad surface.

The former batter said a brave selection would involve seven batters and five proper bowlers. He added that India should have considered sacrificing an extra batter to improve the balance of the side for the series decider in Bengaluru.

Kaif's criticism highlights a recurring selection tension where batting depth is chosen over bowling variety, even when the surface and opposition demand wicket-taking options.
