Ryan ten Doeschate has been appointed as Kolkata Knight Riders' head of cricket strategy after departing the India coaching setup. The former assistant coach will work across the Knight Riders network on talent identification, squad planning and performance evaluation.
Ten Doeschate's role extends beyond the IPL franchise to KKR's global operations. The appointment follows his exit from the Indian coaching staff after the recent limited-overs cycle.
KKR are without a captain following Ajinkya Rahane's retirement from all forms of cricket.
