ICC reports Bangladesh spinner Aliss Al Islam for suspect action

Aliss Al Islam faces independent assessment after being reported for illegal action on ODI debut.

The International Cricket Council has reported Bangladesh off-spinner Aliss Al Islam for a suspected illegal bowling action following his ODI debut against Afghanistan. The 29-year-old conceded 47 runs in 8.3 overs during the match in the UAE Tri-Series.

Aliss will undergo an independent assessment at an ICC-accredited testing centre. The ICC said the review will determine whether his action complies with the 15-degree elbow extension limit.

Aliss was previously reported during Bangladesh Premier League matches in 2019 and 2025 but cleared after testing. He took 24 wickets in the Dhaka Premier League this season and is known for his carrom ball.

The repeated reports across formats show that visual suspicion alone now triggers formal ICC scrutiny regardless of prior clearances.
