Ajinkya Rahane retires from all forms of cricket
Ajinkya Rahane has retired from international, IPL and domestic cricket after 85 Tests and 8,414 runs.
Ajinkya Rahane has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket with immediate effect. The 38-year-old played 85 Tests, 90 ODIs and 20 T20Is for India, scoring 8,414 international runs and 15 centuries.
Rahane captained India in six Tests, winning four, including the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy after the Adelaide 36 all out. He finished his career without losing a single game as captain in any format.
The BCCI thanked Rahane for his contribution and wished him well for the next chapter. He has not played for India since the 2023 West Indies Test series.
