India women eye series win over injury-hit Zimbabwe in second ODI

India women seek a series-clinching win against an injury-affected Zimbabwe side on Sunday.

India will try to wrap up the three-match ODI series at the BCA Stadium in Kotambi on Sunday after winning the opener by nine wickets on Friday.

Zimbabwe already sit short on options: Josephine Nkomo and Kelis Ndhlovu are out, and the side has played non-stop since September with the ICC Emerging Nations Trophy looming in November.

India have choices of their own. Coach Amol Muzumdar and captain Smriti Mandhana must decide whether to rest wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh after her recent lapses or stick with the same XI ahead of the tougher tour to South Africa.

The real test comes after the series: if India rest players now and then lose rhythm in South Africa, the selectors will face the same rotation debate again in a few weeks.
