Abhishek Sharma broke the record for most sixes in the opening over of T20Is during India's match against West Indies.

Abhishek Sharma hit a six in the opening over of the second T20I against West Indies to take his tally to 14 sixes in the first over of T20Is among full-member nations. He broke the joint record of 13 held by Paul Stirling and Evin Lewis.

Sharma scored 20 off 12 balls in Ranchi on Friday. India posted 249 for five, their highest total against West Indies in the format.

The left-hander has now played 63 T20Is for India and maintains a strike rate of 195.29.
