Prasidh ruled out of third ODI; Kamboj called up as replacement
Prasidh Krishna's hamstring injury has forced the BCCI to call up Anshul Kamboj for the series finale.
Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna will miss the third and final ODI against West Indies after suffering a hamstring injury in the second match in Guwahati. Prasidh bowled only five overs in that innings after picking up the wicket of Keacy Carty and has returned to Bengaluru for treatment.
The BCCI named uncapped pacer Anshul Kamboj as his replacement. Kamboj was withdrawn from the India A match against Australia A in Puducherry and has joined the squad in Mullanpur. He has played one Test for India but is yet to make his white-ball debut.
Mohammed Siraj, who was left out of the first two ODIs, is the leading candidate to replace Prasidh in the playing XI. The third ODI will be played at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Saturday.
