Bumrah's Sri Lanka Test participation hinges on fitness clearance

Jasprit Bumrah was named in India's squad for the two-Test series against Sri Lanka but his participation depends on clearance from the BCCI's Centre of Excellence. Sai Sudharsan also remains subject to fitness checks.

Washington Sundar was ruled out after an injury sustained on the England tour. The squad announcement confirmed Bumrah and Sudharsan must prove their fitness before the first Test in Galle.

The two-match series begins on August 15. The second Test is scheduled in Colombo from August 23.
