RCB and KKR pacers named net bowlers for India's Asian Games squad

Rasikh Salam Dar and Kartik Tyagi will serve as net bowlers for India's Asian Games campaign in Japan.

Rasikh Salam Dar of Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kartik Tyagi of Kolkata Knight Riders have been selected as net bowlers for India's Asian Games cricket squad. The Indian teams will defend their gold medals at the Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin from September 17.

VVS Laxman will coach the men's side in the absence of head coach Gautam Gambhir. The squad will travel after completing a one-off T20I against Japan on September 22.

The Indian Olympic Association has rejected requests for separate accommodation and will house all athletes in standard three-star and four-star facilities.

The story so far
  1. Kartik Tyagi’s 154 kph delivery puts him back on India’s fast-bowling selection radar.

  2. The tearaway bowler has had injury setbacks, but his speed allied with consistency shows he has matured.
