Lockie Ferguson expects New Zealand pacers to dominate India T20Is

Ferguson told media that New Zealand's pace attack will be decisive in the upcoming T20I series against India.

Lockie Ferguson said New Zealand's fast bowlers will play a big part in the five-match T20I series against India that starts on October 22. The 35-year-old New Zealand seamer spoke to media on Friday and pointed to cooler nights and possible swing as conditions that suit pace.

Ferguson said the squad can afford an extra quick because of strong spin-bowling all-rounders. He added that watching the current depth of fast bowlers from the stands is exciting and that hard lengths can bring rewards on New Zealand pitches.

On 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Ferguson called him a great talent who has earned praise for his early performances. He said the teenager faces a challenge but the series will still be exciting.
