Prasidh Krishna ruled out for at least three weeks with hamstring injury

Prasidh Krishna suffered a left hamstring injury in the second ODI against West Indies and faces at least three weeks on the sidelines.

India pacer Prasidh Krishna will be out of action for at least three weeks after sustaining a left hamstring injury during the second ODI against West Indies in Guwahati. He bowled only five overs before leaving the field and missed the third match in New Chandigarh.

The 30-year-old has checked into the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. He is expected to regain full fitness in around three weeks and could start bowling at full intensity in four weeks, which puts him in doubt for the opening round of the Ranji Trophy and makes his availability for the New Zealand ODIs starting November 4 uncertain.

India captain Shubman Gill said the team hopes to have a full-strength squad available for the New Zealand series to settle on its preferred combination ahead of the 2027 ODI World Cup.
