Rajat Patidar withdraws from India A squad citing injury concerns

Rajat Patidar withdrew from India A's ACC Rising Stars Asia Cup squad due to injury concerns. Ayush Badoni replaced him, and Rinku Singh was appointed vice-captain.

Rajat Patidar asked the BCCI not to consider him for 50-over selection while managing injuries. The BCCI announced the change on November 8, with Ayush Badoni replacing Patidar in the 15-member squad.

Rinku Singh was named vice-captain of India A, with Tilak Varma remaining captain. India A will play Nepal on November 20, Pakistan on November 22 and UAE on November 24 during the Rising Stars Asia Cup in Doha. The top two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals on November 26 and 27, with the final scheduled for November 29.

Patidar had a left-knee issue in October 2025 and a finger injury during IPL 2025. He will captain Madhya Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy starting November 14.
