Ravichandran Ashwin says Hardik Pandya no longer needs captaincy guarantee

Ravichandran Ashwin outlined possible trade packages for Hardik Pandya while naming KKR as his preferred destination.

Hardik Pandya remains Mumbai Indians captain and is expected to leave the franchise. Five to six IPL teams are reportedly interested in signing him. Ravichandran Ashwin said Hardik no longer requires a captaincy guarantee in his next franchise. Ashwin named Kolkata Knight Riders as the ideal destination and said Chennai Super Kings may need to offer three players to acquire him. He added that Gujarat Titans could offer Rashid Khan in exchange while Lucknow Super Giants are not interested. Ashwin listed CSK, KKR, RR, GT and PBKS as the five franchises pursuing Hardik. Wasim Jaffer did not name Rohit Sharma as Hardik's successor at Mumbai Indians.
