Tilak Varma scores unbeaten century as South Zone establish 90-run lead in Duleep Trophy semi-final.
South Zone captain Tilak Varma scored an unbeaten 106 to guide his side to 285 for nine on day two of the Duleep Trophy semifinal against North Zone in Bengaluru. The hundred came off 218 balls after South Zone had slipped to 80 for five.
Tilak brought up his hundred with a boundary off pacer Gurnoor Brar. Shreyas Gopal made 87 as the pair added 175 runs for the sixth wicket to rescue the innings.
The century gave South Zone a 90-run first-innings lead at the end of the second day. The result puts South Zone in a strong position heading into day three.
