Tilak Varma scored an unbeaten 51 as South Zone defeated North Zone by seven wickets to reach the Duleep Trophy final. He had earlier made 116 not out in the first innings.
South Zone chased down a target of 181 at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence. The result sets up a final against East Zone in Chennai from September 6 to 10.
Tilak said he wants to play Test cricket for India and that red-ball cricket remains his strength.
