Gautam Gambhir will decide if three India T20I players can feature in the Duleep Trophy final.
India head coach Gautam Gambhir will decide whether Ishan Kishan, Tilak Varma and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi can play in the Duleep Trophy final. The three players are set to feature for their respective zones but face a quick turnaround before India's T20I series against Afghanistan.
South Zone added KL Rahul, Devdutt Padikkal and Mohammed Siraj to their squad for the final against East Zone at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from 6 to 10 September. Tilak Varma has expressed his desire to play both the final and the Afghanistan series.
The BCCI has asked senior players to participate in domestic cricket when available. Sooryavanshi's participation depends on Gambhir's assessment of his workload.
