Mumbai Indians made their first-ever trade in Women's Premier League history, picking up USA left-arm pacer Tara Norris from UP Warriorz for the 2027 season. She'll join at her current fee of Rs 10 lakh.

Norris returns to the MI setup after playing for MI London. In the first WPL she became the first Associate player picked and took the tournament's first five-wicket haul, doing it for Delhi Capitals.

UP Warriorz had kept her in their core 11 before the retention deadline but decided to move the 26-year-old on. The auction for the remaining 27 slots, seven of them overseas, is set for October 28 at the Grand Hyatt Kochi.

UP Warriorz kept Norris through the retention window, then flipped her weeks later; the timing suggests they expect to fill that overseas slot with someone else at the October 28 auction.
