Three spin-bowling all-rounders to join India squad as net bowlers for Sri Lanka Tests

Tanush Kotian, Harsh Dubey, and Vipraj Nigam will travel with the Indian team to Sri Lanka as net bowlers for the two-Test series. The three spinners are unlikely to feature in the playing XI unless absolutely necessary, but the tour represents a development opportunity. Kotian has been a consistent domestic performer over the past two seasons with both bat and ball.

Dubey forced his way into selection contention after an outstanding Ranji Trophy campaign where he finished among the leading wicket-takers while contributing with the bat. Nigam, the youngest of the trio, impressed during India A's recent tour of Sri Lanka with his ability to turn the ball both ways and contribute with the bat. He previously claimed six wickets across two first-class matches during that assignment.

The practice of taking promising domestic performers on overseas tours as net bowlers allows young players to train alongside international teammates and experience high-level demands before potential senior call-ups.
