Kohli's return to the top two at 37 shows he has adapted his game to the current ODI environment without losing his signature strengths. The nine sixes in one innings were his most in an ODI innings, suggesting he has added power to his placement game. That evolution keeps him relevant even as younger batters dominate the conversation.
