Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 139 from 88 balls as India beat the West Indies by eight wickets in the first ODI on Sunday. Kohli became the second batter after Sachin Tendulkar to reach 15,000 ODI runs. He struck 10 fours and nine sixes in his 55th ODI century.
Shubman Gill also scored a century, making 110 from 108 balls. West Indies posted 295 for seven, led by Justin Greaves' maiden ODI hundred. Kuldeep Yadav took four for 40.
India chased the target in 41.4 overs. Kohli moved to second in the ICC ODI batting rankings, 20 points behind Gill.
