The International Cricket Council will unveil the full schedule for the 2027 Men's Cricket World Cup at a ceremony in Cape Town on October 1. The announcement marks exactly one year until the tournament begins on October 2, 2027, and concludes with the final on November 21.

South Africa and Zimbabwe qualify automatically as hosts. India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Australia, England, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh secure places through the ODI rankings. The remaining four teams will emerge from qualifiers scheduled for February 22 to March 23.

The ICC will also launch the ticket ballot for fans on October 1. The tournament will feature 14 teams across 12 venues and adopt a three-stage format beginning with a Super Series round-robin among the three lowest-ranked teams.

CricHubb Take

The expanded 14-team format and three-stage structure increase the importance of early qualification decisions. Teams that miss automatic spots through the rankings face a longer path to the tournament.
