Abhimanyu Easwaran retains India ambitions ahead of Ranji Trophy
Bengal captain Abhimanyu Easwaran said he will focus on performance for Bengal rather than selection ahead of the Ranji Trophy opener against Delhi.
Abhimanyu Easwaran said his ambition to play for India remains unchanged despite years of waiting for a Test debut. The Bengal captain has scored heavily enough to earn call-ups but has yet to break into the side.
Easwaran said he will concentrate on giving his best for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy opener against Delhi rather than thinking about selection. He said there is no point in thinking about selection because performance will take care of itself.
The 31-year-old said he wants to improve his scoring options and develop a better range of shots to adapt to different surfaces and bowling attacks.
