Ajinkya Rahane retires from all forms of cricket

Ajinkya Rahane has called time on his career. The 37-year-old announced the end of his international, domestic and IPL days through a short Instagram video, saying everything has a beginning and an end. Rahane played 85 Tests, 90 ODIs and 20 T20Is, finishing with 8,414 runs and 15 centuries. He made his debut in England in 2011 and captained India in six Tests, winning four of them, including the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Across 212 IPL matches he moved between several franchises. Overseas hundreds at Lord's and the MCG stood out. The surprise was that he chose to walk away from domestic and IPL cricket too.
