Rahane retires from all formats, BCCI confirms pension

Ajinkya Rahane has retired from international cricket and all formats. He played 85 Tests, 90 ODIs and 20 T20Is for India, and stood in as captain for three Tests during the 2020-21 series win in Australia.

Former teammates called him a pillar of the side, especially overseas. The BCCI placed him in the top pension bracket, and Rohit Sharma posted a tribute noting his commitment and professionalism.
