Bangladesh consider shift from spin-heavy strategy for second Test
Bangladesh may alter their spin-dominant approach for the Sylhet Test as concerns grow over Taijul Islam's form and Mushfiqur Rahim's return looms.
West Indies coach Daren Sammy said his side is on course for its World Test Championship targets and wants a 2-0 series win in Sylhet. Bangladesh coach Phil Simmons flagged Taijul Islam's form and left the spinner's place in the second Test in doubt.
Mushfiqur Rahim is due back, and Simmons said the team may step away from the spin-heavy plan used at Mirpur once the Sylhet Test starts on November 5.
Bangladesh lost the first Test and need a win to square the series, while West Indies are chasing the clean sweep Sammy called a potential Christmas gift.
