BCCI wants Sooryavanshi to serve like Sachin Tendulkar
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia says the board wants Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to build a career like Sachin Tendulkar. The board is monitoring his development to avoid burnout.
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said the board wants Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and other emerging prospects to build long and successful careers like Sachin Tendulkar. The comments came during a review meeting in Mumbai attended by head coach Gambhir, captains Iyer and Gill, president Mithun Manhas, and COE chief VVS Laxman.
The board is closely monitoring the 15-year-old to prevent premature burnout. Sooryavanshi became the youngest male cricketer to represent India during the T20I series in England in July.
Former India captain Kris Srikkanth said even his wife watched the Duleep Trophy because of Sooryavanshi. He backed the youngster to rule world cricket.
