Brydon Carse plays for Durham in County Championship after England omission
Brydon Carse returned to Durham's County Championship side after being dropped from England's Test squad for the second match against Pakistan. The all-rounder featured in the match at Chester-le-Street following an investigation by Derbyshire Police into an alleged assault incident outside a nightclub.
England had stood Carse down from the Lord's Test after the handcuffing incident came to light. He was not part of the playing XI for the opening Test against Pakistan in Leeds and has now been removed from the squad for the second match.
The investigation remains ongoing, with police examining allegations of assault. Carse's availability for future England selection will depend on the outcome of both the legal proceedings and any internal disciplinary review by the ECB.
