Colin Ingram retires from professional cricket at 41

Colin Ingram has retired from professional cricket after 11 seasons with Glamorgan, scoring 31 centuries for the county.

Glamorgan batter Colin Ingram announced his retirement from professional cricket on Tuesday at the age of 41. The South African scored 31 centuries for the county across all formats with a career-best of 257 not out. He served as Glamorgan's top run-scorer in their 2025 Championship promotion-winning side. Ingram made 40 international appearances in limited-overs cricket for South Africa between 2010 and 2013. He will take up a coaching role with Glamorgan after 11 seasons with the county. Glamorgan's director of cricket Mark Wallace described Ingram as a legend of the club who has had a lasting impact on the county.
