England fast bowler Kate Cross will retire from professional cricket after the current English summer following the loss of her central contract.
Former England bowler Kate Cross will retire from professional cricket at the end of the current English summer. The 34-year-old seamer made 102 appearances for England between 2013 and 2025. She lost her central contract last year.
Cross will complete her remaining domestic commitments before stepping away. Her career spanned multiple formats and included consistent contributions with the ball in international cricket. England women's team management has already adjusted squad plans for the remainder of the season.
The retirement follows a period without a central deal. Cross leaves the professional game after more than a decade at the highest level.
