Kate Cross retires from professional cricket at end of season

England seamer Kate Cross will retire from professional cricket at the end of the current English summer. The 34-year-old Lancashire bowler made her England debut in October 2013 and earned 102 international caps across all three formats.

Cross took 140 wickets in her international career. She also maintained a long association with Lancashire, where she played county cricket for two decades before deciding to step away.

The announcement ends her professional playing career after 13 years at the top level. Cross leaves the game having established herself as one of England's most reliable seam bowlers across Test, ODI and T20 cricket.
