Harshit Rana ruled out of Afghanistan T20Is with injury

Harshit Rana won't be ready for the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan that starts September 13 in New Delhi. The pacer picked up an injury in a recent match simulation and he's still being assessed. Washington Sundar and Nitish Kumar Reddy have both cleared fitness tests and are back in the squad.

Jasprit Bumrah is still recovering from the left knee injury he suffered during India's ODI tour of England in July. The BCCI wants the medical reports on both Bumrah and Rana before they lock in the final squad. The series doubles as preparation for the Asian Games later this month.
