Jemimah Rodrigues named Switzerland Tourism's Friendship Ambassador for India

Jemimah Rodrigues has been appointed Friendship Ambassador for India by Switzerland Tourism. The announcement was made on October 15, 2026, in Bangalore in the presence of CEO Martin Nydegger. India ranks among Switzerland Tourism's top 10 source markets.

The campaign targets Indian visitors during autumn and winter months to reduce concentration of bookings between April and June. Rodrigues continues her recovery from a high-grade right hamstring tear sustained while playing for Southern Brave in The Hundred on August 3.

She scored 143 runs across six innings at a strike rate of 131.19 before the injury forced her withdrawal. Rodrigues missed the Women's Asia Cup, Asian Games, and India's upcoming series against Zimbabwe. She targets a return for India's tour of South Africa later in 2026.
