Joe Root says England learned from chaos during Pakistan series

England captain Joe Root stated his team learned valuable lessons from chaotic conditions during their 3-0 series win over Pakistan. Root praised his players for maintaining composure despite early setbacks in the final Test at Edgbaston. England completed their first home whitewash against Pakistan with an eight-wicket victory.

Root remained unbeaten on 62 after being reprieved on 23 when a no-ball overturned his dismissal. Jordan Cox supported the captain with an unbeaten 59 as England chased down 130 despite losing two wickets in the first over. Mohammad Abbas removed both openers to give Pakistan early hope.

England's clinical approach throughout the series prevented Pakistan from mounting any sustained challenge. The captain believes the experience prepares the team for their winter tour of South Africa.
