KL Rahul, Devdutt Padikkal and Mohammed Siraj added to South Zone Duleep squad

KL Rahul, Devdutt Padikkal and Mohammed Siraj have been added to South Zone's squad for the Duleep Trophy 2026 final against East Zone. The match is scheduled at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from September 6 to 10.

The BCCI has told senior players to feature in domestic cricket. South Zone have 13 titles to their name, the last one coming in 2023. East Zone will be in the hunt for just their third crown, having won the tournament last in the 2012-13 season.

Devdutt Padikkal climbed five spots in the ICC Test rankings after his twin centuries in Sri Lanka. Gautam Gambhir will decide whether 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi plays in the final for East Zone.
