KL Rahul ruled out of Duleep Trophy final

KL Rahul will not play the Duleep Trophy final against East Zone at Chennai. South Zone skipper Tilak Varma confirmed the absence ahead of the September 6 start.

Rahul was set to turn out for South Zone at the BCCI's request, but he won't make it now. That leaves a middle-order hole for Tilak Varma's side.

The final goes ahead without the India batter, who has been managing workload after a packed IPL.
