Manav Suthar took match figures of seven wickets as Warwickshire defeated Hampshire by an innings and 129 runs in a County Championship Division One match. The Indian spinner claimed 3 for 42 in 15 overs in the first innings and followed up with 4 for 52 in 23.3 overs in the second innings.
The win keeps Warwickshire in the County Championship Division One title race, five points behind leaders Somerset. Suthar was one of six Indian cricketers playing in the County Championship during the round.
Auqib Nabi contributed to Surrey's win in their match while Yuzvendra Chahal claimed nine wickets across his two innings. The performances provide additional opportunities for Indian spinners to gain experience in English conditions ahead of future international commitments.
