Morkel urges Nitish Reddy to compete for all-rounder spot

India bowling coach Morne Morkel said Nitish Reddy has the talent to compete for the all-rounder's spot at the 2027 World Cup if given clear roles and consistent opportunities. Reddy took six wickets in the recent T20I series against Afghanistan.

Morkel said Reddy must keep things simple and fulfil basic requirements rather than trying to create opportunities in every situation. He added that the team has time to develop the 22-year-old before the World Cup.

Morkel also stressed that players must set high standards from the ongoing ODI series against West Indies. He said the build-up to the tournament starts now, not weeks before the event.
